All aboard who’s going aboard! As we approach the final week of the regular season, this is your last chance to make a significant impact in your fantasy league. With the playoffs looming, fine-tuning your roster is crucial. Many fantasy managers have already spent their entire FAAB budget on Isaac Guerendo, especially after San Francisco’s running back room was decimated by injuries. If you snagged him, congratulations! But if you missed out, don’t fret—there are still plenty of hidden gems on the waiver wire that could turn your season around.
Week 15 Fantasy Waiver Wire Watchlist: RB
Alexander Mattison, RB, Las Vegas Raiders (45%/46%)
Reason: Return to health
Time Frame: Rest of season
Predicting how Las Vegas will handle its running back workload is like trying to read tea leaves, but we’ll give it a shot. Before Mattison’s ankle injury, he was the clear lead back, dominating over 60% of snaps from Weeks 6-8. However, his role diminished after the injury and a game script that favored passing. Now that he’s back in practice, he’s poised to reclaim his spot. While Sincere McCormick may take some snaps, there’s still plenty of work for Mattison to do. It may be tough, grinding work, but it’s work nonetheless.
Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons (31%/40%)
Reason: Handcuff stash
Time Frame: Rest of season
Allgeier has been surprisingly involved in the Falcons’ offense, even over Bijan Robinson. He’s consistently seen around 30% of the snaps, leading to 9-10 touches per game. While he may not be a star, he’s efficient and has been a good option whenever he finds the end zone. The Falcons have a favorable schedule ahead, with matchups against the Raiders, Giants, Commanders, and Panthers. If Robinson goes down, Allgeier will be a hot commodity.
- Tank Bigsby (return to health, rest of season)
- Tyjae Spears (return to health, rest of season)
- Jerome Ford (increased workload, rest of season)
- Zach Charbonnet (handcuff stash, rest of season)
Week 15 Fantasy Waiver Wire Watchlist: QB
Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (28% owned in ESPN leagues/15% owned in Yahoo leagues)
Reason: High risk, high reward
Time Frame: Rest of season
Winston has been a rollercoaster of a quarterback, delivering some of the highest fantasy performances in recent weeks. Since taking over as the starter, he’s had three of the top 40 fantasy days for a quarterback, including a near-500-yard game against a tough Denver defense. If you’re still searching for a quarterback, Winston is your best bet. With three of his next four games against below-average defenses, he’s primed for a strong finish to the season. Sure, he can be frustrating at times, but his upside is undeniable.
Will Levis, QB, Tennessee Titans (16%/17%)
Reason: Opponent schedule
Time Frame: Rest of season
If you’re considering Levis, it’s probably been a rough season for you. However, he’s an intriguing option for those in desperate need of a quarterback. The Titans face the Jaguars twice in the coming weeks, and Jacksonville has allowed the most DVOA-adjusted fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. With favorable matchups against the Bengals and Colts following that, Levis could be a solid streaming option.
- Aaron Rodgers (positive game scripts, rest of season)
- Derek Carr (opponent schedule, Weeks 14-15)
- Cooper Rush (opponent schedule, Weeks 14-16)
- Bryce Young (surprising improvement, rest of season)
Week 15 Fantasy Waiver Wire Watchlist: WR
Adam Thielen (48%/34%) and Xavier Legette (27%/34%), WR, Carolina Panthers
Reason: Improved offense
Time Frame: Rest of season
Can you believe we’re actually recommending players from the Carolina Panthers offense? After a rocky start, the offense has shown signs of life, especially since Bryce Young returned. Thielen has been a standout, boasting a 36.8% receiving DVOA over the past two weeks. Legette has also been consistent, making him a viable option as well. With the Panthers’ offense improving, now is the time to grab a piece of the action.
Keon Coleman, WR, Buffalo Bills (42%/52%)
Reason: Return to health
Time Frame: Rest of season
Coleman has missed a few games due to a wrist injury, but he’s expected to return soon. He was a key part of the Bills’ offense before his injury, and with some juicy matchups on the horizon, he could be a strong flex option. If you let him go earlier, now’s the time to scoop him back up.
- Cedric Tillman (big play ability, rest of season)
- Romeo Doubs (return from injury, rest of season)
- Quentin Johnston (opponent schedule, Weeks 14-15)
Week 15 Fantasy Waiver Wire Watchlist: TE
Juwan Johnson, TE, New Orleans Saints (7%/11%)
Reason: Injury replacement
Time Frame: Rest of season
With Taysom Hill going on injured reserve, Johnson steps in as the next man up in the Saints’ offense. He may not replicate everything Hill does, but he’ll certainly get a chance to catch passes, especially with the team missing its top two wide receivers. Someone has to step up, right?
Will Dissly, TE, Los Angeles Chargers (38%/33%)
Reason: Opponent schedule
Time Frame: Rest of season
The Chargers face a series of opponents that have struggled against tight ends. With Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Denver, and New England all on the schedule, Dissly could be a sneaky play down the stretch.
- Cole Kmet (increased workload, rest of season)
- Hunter Henry (opponent schedule, rest of season)
- Zach Ertz (heavy workload, rest of season)
- Ja’Tavion Sanders (return to health, Weeks 15-18)
