Fabs’ early fantasy football wide receiver rankings for 2025 you need to see

The 2024 fantasy football season is now in the rearview mirror, so what’s next? If you’ve been playing this great hobby as long as I have, you know there’s never an offseason! In fact, I’ve already started to construct my fantasy player rankings for the 2025 campaign!

As we look ahead, the wide receiver position has seen some exciting developments. Brian Thomas Jr. has made a splash, emerging as a top-five player at his position. Meanwhile, Jaxon Smith-Njigba has transformed into a reliable weekly fantasy starter for the Seahawks. Rookie Malik Nabers also impressed, finishing in the top 10, while Jerry Jeudy went from being a fantasy afterthought to a top-12 wide receiver. These players have shown that the future is bright for fantasy football enthusiasts!

However, not every wide receiver lived up to the hype. Tyreek Hill and Marvin Harrison Jr. were particularly disappointing, both being drafted as top-10 wide receivers based on average draft position (ADP) but failing to finish in the top 15. Other players like Chris Olave, Cooper Kupp, Jaylen Waddle, Deebo Samuel Sr., and DK Metcalf also fell short of expectations, leaving many fantasy managers frustrated.

The upcoming offseason promises plenty of roster changes, with stars like Chris Godwin, Tee Higgins, Stefon Diggs, and Keenan Allen potentially switching teams as free agents. This could drastically alter the fantasy landscape, making it essential for managers to stay informed and adapt their strategies.

Additionally, we have a wave of young talent entering the league. Travis Hunter from Colorado is one name to watch closely; he could easily break into the top 20 wide receivers in the league. With so much potential on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to be a fantasy football fan!

Now, let’s dive into my way-too-early look at the fantasy wide receiver position for next season. Here’s how I see the rankings shaping up:
