We’re getting down to the nitty-gritty, folks! It’s Week 11, and now’s the time to make that push to the fantasy playoffs. With four teams off (Buccaneers, Cardinals, Giants, Panthers), there are plenty of lineup spots to fill. As always, I’m here to help you get back on the right track with some players I like more than usual based on their favorable matchups.
Looking ahead to Week 11, here are five players you didn’t draft or aren’t locked-in starters who you should consider this week. Also, for those who want even more fantasy advice, check out Lindsay Rhodes and me on Fantasy Dirt five days a week and live on Sundays!
Quarterback Spotlight: Bo Nix vs. Falcons
Nix had a tough outing against the Chiefs last week but still managed to put up a respectable 16.1 fantasy points. He’s been on a roll lately, scoring 17-plus points in four of his last six games. This week, he faces an Atlanta defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks since Week 7. Could this be the week Nix shines? Absolutely! If you’re looking for a quarterback with upside, Nix is your guy.
Running Back to Watch: Audric Estime vs. Falcons
Estime is emerging as the new top running back in Denver, leading the backfield in touches ahead of Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin last week. He’s a solid flex starter against the Falcons, who have allowed 15-plus fantasy points to six running backs over the last four weeks. Notably, two of those runners scored more than 20 points! If you need a boost in your lineup, Estime could be the answer.
Wide Receiver Options: Nick Chubb at Saints
Chubb hasn’t had the best season, but this could be the week he returns to form. He faces a Saints defense that has allowed 16-plus points to six running backs since Week 6. Four different runners have even surpassed 21 points against them, including Bijan Robinson, who lit them up for 34.2 points last week. Can Chubb capitalize on this opportunity? It’s certainly possible, and he could be a game-changer for your fantasy team.
Jauan Jennings vs. Seahawks
Jennings was highlighted in this space last week, and he delivered with seven catches and 16.3 points in a win over the Bucs. He’s been incredibly productive when given the chance, boasting a +27.2 Receiving Expected Points Added. The game against the Seahawks has an over/under of 49.5 points, and their defense has allowed the eighth-most points per game to perimeter receivers. If you need a reliable receiver, Jennings is worth considering.
Quentin Johnston vs. Bengals
Johnston has been making waves lately, scoring a touchdown in two consecutive games and hitting double digits in fantasy points in four of his last six contests. He’s a solid option for those fantasy managers in need, especially against the Bengals, who have struggled against perimeter receivers this season. In fact, only the Ravens and Buccaneers have given up more fantasy points to wideouts lined out wide. Johnston could be the spark your team needs!
Strategies for Success in Week 11
As we dive into Week 11, keep in mind that the fantasy landscape is constantly shifting. With key players on bye weeks, it’s crucial to adapt your strategy. Look for those hidden gems who can provide a significant boost to your lineup. The players mentioned above are just a few options that could help you secure a win this week.
Consider your roster carefully. Are there any underperforming players you can bench in favor of these emerging stars? Remember, the right matchup can make all the difference. The goal is to maximize your points and position yourself for the playoffs.
In addition to these players, keep an eye on the waiver wire for any last-minute additions that could enhance your roster. The fantasy playoffs are just around the corner, and every point counts!
So, as we gear up for another exciting week of NFL action, remember to stay engaged, make informed decisions, and trust your instincts. The fantasy football journey is all about adapting and seizing opportunities. Let’s make Week 11 one to remember!
