Following player comments, Commanders fire VP of content; Jerry Jones reacts to the decision.

The Washington Commanders made a significant move on Thursday, **firing their vice president of content** following public outcry over his offensive remarks about the team’s players and other prominent NFL figures.

On Wednesday, the Commanders had **suspended Rael Enteen** after he made shocking comments to an undercover reporter from the O’Keefe Media Group.

Enteen’s remarks included calling Washington players **homophobic**, accusing **Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones** of being racist, and labeling **NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell** as a “$50 million puppet.”

“The language used in the video goes **against our values** as a Commanders organization,” a team spokesperson said on Wednesday.

O’Keefe Media Group reported that Enteen met one of its reporters on a dating app and also twice at a restaurant in Washington, D.C., in June.

Enteen shockingly claimed that “over 50 percent of our staff are religious white people, and God says, ‘F— gays.’ Low-income people who come from a community that is inherently very homophobic.”

He further disparaged some players as “stupid as hell” and susceptible to conspiracy theories if they “get hit in the head a few times.”

Regarding Goodell, Enteen boldly stated, “I don’t think the commissioner of the NFL hates gays or blacks. **Jerry Jones**, who really runs the NFL, I think hates gays and blacks.”

Enteen had been with the organization for four years.

The **Commanders’ season opener** is this Sunday on the road against the **Tampa Bay Buccaneers**. Fans are hoping the team can put this controversy behind them and focus on the game we all love — **football**!

This incident has ignited widespread discussions on the importance of maintaining professionalism and respect within the NFL community. As we eagerly anticipate the upcoming season, it’s crucial that we uphold the values that make this sport great.
