Dolphins’ Raheem Mostert, Titans’ Jeffery Simmons Out for Monday Night Football: Impact on Team Performance

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert and Titans DT Jeffery Simmons are officially inactive for Monday Night Football.

The Dolphins officially will not have running back Raheem Mostert, who injured his chest in the season opener. It will be his third missed game after playing only 31 snaps against the Jaguars in Week 1. Mostert was questionable to return after limited practices all week.

Oh, the heartache! The Dolphins also won’t have linebacker David Long (hamstring). He, too, is inactive after being given a doubtful designation. Long did not practice all week.

Injury Woes Add Up

They join quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion), left tackle Terron Armstead (concussion), and cornerback Kendall Fuller (concussion) on the sideline. Tua is on injured reserve, making the situation as dire as a dry coastal desert.

More Missing Pieces

The Dolphins’ inactives besides Armstead, Long, Mostert, and Fuller are linebacker Mohamed Kmara and quarterback Skylar Thompson. Thompson is the emergency third quarterback.

Titans Tackle the Challenge

The Titans are not dodging their share of troubles either. They won’t have defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, who was doubtful with an elbow injury after not practicing all week. However, there’s a bit of sunshine as cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, who was questionable, will suit up.

The Titans’ other inactives besides Simmons are defensive back Julius Wood, linebacker James Williams, offensive tackle Jaelyn Duncan, tight end David Martin-Robinson, tight end Thomas Odukoya, and outside linebacker Ali Gaye.

What a rollercoaster of emotions! As fans, we ride the highs and lows alongside our teams. From the victories that make us feel like we’ve won the lottery to the injuries that make us want to pull out our hair—it’s all part of our beautiful game. So, suit up, folks! Whether you’re on the field or in the stands, it’s time for some NFL action!
