Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill Throws Shade at Olympic Champ Noah Lyles

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill calls out Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles in a public spat over track superiority.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill didn’t hold back in his response to Olympic 100-meter gold medalist Noah Lyles.

The lightning-fast Hill was clearly not impressed by Lyles’ victory and took issue when Lyles claimed that the NFL’s  Super Bowl champions were not “champions of the world.”

Lyles then took a jab at Hill during an interview with NBC Sports, pretending not to know him. This provoked a fiery reaction from Hill, who took to social media on Sunday to challenge Lyles to a head-to-head matchup in a 50-yard dash.

Sign the contract and secure that 50-yard dash…” Hill tweeted.

This bold challenge came shortly after Lyles dismissed Hill on “Nightcap” with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson.

“Tyreek is just looking for clout. Every time someone comes along fast, he tries to compete with them. If he really wanted to compete with people, he would have introduced himself as DK Metcalf. And that man ran the 60 meters this year in the Masters Division. Man dodges smoke. I don’t have time for that,” Lyles said.

“He’s challenging me? Let’s run the 100 meters. We can run. If he’s serious, and I’m not talking about what you say on the Internet… you’ll see me on the track,” Lyles added.

Hill, an eight-time Pro Bowl selection, boasts an impressive career with 717 receptions for 10,139 yards and 76 touchdowns in 124 games with the Kansas City Chiefs (2016-21) and Dolphins.

Lyles, 27, clinched the men’s 100-meter final in a historic race at the Paris Olympics on August 4. The three-time 200-meter world champion, who missed qualification for the shorter sprint race at the U.S. Olympic trials three years ago, has since rebuilt himself with the goal of becoming the fastest man on the planet.
