Garrett, Smith Set to Dominate Sunday

Myles Garrett and Za'Darius Smith are confirmed to play in Sunday's game, boosting the defensive lineup.

On Sunday, the Cleveland Browns will take the field with defensive ends Myles Garrett and Za’Darius Smith back in action. Both playmakers returned to practice on Friday and will be ready to unleash their fury with no injury designations clouding their performance.

Smith’s Rest Day Fiasco

Za’Darius Smith brushed off his absence on Thursday, labeling it a “vet day” for much-needed rest rather than a problematic back injury. You could say he took a chico callao—keeping it cool under pressure.

Garrett’s Foot Drama

On the flip side, Myles Garrett isn’t out of the woods yet. He admitted that his foot issue, which nagged him during last week’s clash with the Cowboys, is something to be mindful of. “I wouldn’t say there’s nothing to worry about,” Garrett confessed on Friday. “It’s just something for us to manage and be conscious of, at least for myself, be just a little cautious.” When queried if his foot, la patita, was expected to be a concern against the Jaguars, Garrett was noncommittal, saying, “we’ll see.”

Performance Snapshot

Despite the foot hiccup, Garrett was a beast against the Cowboys, recording two tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble—leaving fans at the edge of their seats.

Offensive Line Blues

The Browns’ offense isn’t as fortunate. Left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) and tight end David Njoku (ankle) are both out for Sunday’s game. Right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) is listed as questionable.

Who’s on the Line?

Last week, James Hudson III started at left tackle when Wills and Conklin were both nursing injuries. As we approach the showdown with the Jaguars, either Hudson or Conklin, if cleared, could step up to protect the blind side. When grilled on who would take the reins, Coach Kevin Stefanski played his cards close to his chest, refusing to reveal who will start.

As the Browns prepare to battle it out with the Jaguars, all eyes will be on how Garrett manages his foot drama and the critical decisions on the offensive line. Will the defense hold strong? Will the offensive line shine or falter? Only Sunday will tell, amigos! Stay tuned!
