Key fantasy football trades to consider for Week 11

The fantasy football trade deadline is fast approaching, and if you’re not sure when yours is, don’t worry! Most leagues will see their deadlines either this week or next. This is the moment to make impactful trades that could define your playoff run. If you’re looking to bolster your roster, we’ve pinpointed three players to buy low and three to sell high before their values plummet.

With the clock ticking down, now is the time to act. While there are some intriguing high-upside players available on the waiver wire, the most significant changes to your team’s fortunes will come through trades. This guide is designed to help you navigate these critical decisions, but remember, the time to make your moves is now!

Players to Buy Low

Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucky Irving has emerged as a key player for the Buccaneers. While presumed starter Rachaad White has seen some resurgence in the passing game, Irving has taken the lead as the primary ball carrier. Over the last three weeks, he has racked up 29 carries compared to White’s 19, and has also contributed 13 catches. With Mike Evans expected to return after the Bucs’ bye week, White’s usage may decline, making Irving a valuable asset.

Irving is averaging an impressive 5.1 yards per rush, significantly outpacing White’s 3.8. He has also found the end zone four times on the ground, compared to just one for White. With the Bucs on a bye this week, now is the perfect time to target Irving in a trade, especially if your league mate is looking for running back help.

DK Metcalf, WR, Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf is another player to consider buying low. After missing two games due to injury, he’s poised to make a strong return. Metcalf has been the alpha receiver in Seattle’s offense, and with the team coming off a bye, expect him to reclaim his role and make big plays. In the two weeks before his injury, Metcalf was targeted 18 times, securing 7 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown.

In contrast, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who filled in during Metcalf’s absence, had decent numbers but is unlikely to maintain that level of production now that Metcalf is back. This is a prime opportunity to acquire Metcalf before his value skyrockets again.

Amari Cooper, WR, Buffalo Bills

Amari Cooper started strong after his trade to the Bills, but injuries have hampered his performance recently. With a couple of weeks off to get acclimated to the playbook, Cooper is set to become a key target in the red zone. The Bills’ passing game is designed to score, and Cooper was brought in to be a primary option in scoring situations.

With Keon Coleman injured and Khalil Shakir not stepping up, Cooper could be primed for a resurgence. This is the time to buy low on him before he finds his rhythm again.

Players to Sell High

CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb is in a tough spot right now. With Dak Prescott out for the season, his value is heavily reliant on either Cooper Rush or Trey Lance at quarterback. Although Lamb has been one of the top receivers in the league, the lack of a reliable QB diminishes his fantasy ceiling and floor.

Historically, Lamb has fared decently with Rush at the helm, averaging 16.7 points per game. However, with a struggling offensive line and no rushing attack, his situation is precarious. Moving on from Lamb now could save you from potential playoff disappointment.

Najee Harris, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Najee Harris had a string of solid performances but hit a wall last week against the Commanders. While he managed to score a touchdown, his rushing average was a mere 2.5 yards per carry. With Jaylon Warren now sharing snaps almost evenly, Harris’s value is at risk.

Warren’s emergence as a pass-catching back further complicates Harris’s outlook. With the potential for a 50-50 split in carries, now is the time to sell Harris before his touchdown production dips.

Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

Kareem Hunt has been a pleasant surprise since joining the Chiefs, scoring five touchdowns. However, with Isiah Pacheco expected to return soon, Hunt’s role will likely diminish. His rushing average has been declining, and without touchdowns, he could quickly become a bench player.

If you can trade Hunt now, you might secure a valuable flex option for your playoff push. Don’t wait until Pacheco returns and Hunt’s value drops further.

As the trade deadline looms, make sure to assess your roster carefully. The right moves can propel you into the playoffs and beyond, while the wrong ones can leave you scrambling. Be proactive, be strategic, and most importantly, enjoy the thrilling ride that is fantasy football!
