Seahawks-Bears clash labeled as NFL’s worst game, fans call for Thursday Night Football reform

NFL fans are fuming over an awful game on Thursday Night Football. The Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks produced one of the worst games of this NFL season, leaving viewers disappointed and frustrated.

The two teams combined for just nine points, marking it as the lowest scoring game of the season. Chicago ended up losing to Seattle 6-3 in a match where no touchdowns were scored. Yes, you read that right—no touchdowns! It was an extremely ugly game, with neither quarterback, Geno Smith nor Caleb Williams, throwing for over 200 yards.

Fans were left fuming with a horrible Thursday Night Football game

Both quarterbacks struggled significantly, with Smith recording a 47.1 QBR while Williams managed a mere 24.4 QBR. The two combined for 10 sacks throughout the game, showcasing just how ineffective both offenses were. It’s hard to believe that these two teams are part of the NFL, isn’t it?

Fans shared their displeasure on social media, expressing how much they disliked the product on the field. One fan lamented, "I’d rather watch badminton at this point," while another chimed in, "Fell asleep 3 times." The sentiment was clear: this game was not what they signed up for.

No touchdowns were scored during the game

The terrible outcome has many fans questioning the future of Thursday Night Football. The short week for NFL teams often leads to injuries, and many argue that it results in subpar performances on the field. This was especially apparent in this 6-3 stinker of a game.

One fan even suggested, "Game should have been flexed for a different game tbh," while another added, "These schedule makers gotta go!" The frustration is palpable, and it’s hard to ignore the growing discontent among the fanbase.

Adding to the chaos, wide receiver DK Metcalf made headlines for his antics during the game. He was penalized multiple times for unsportsmanlike conduct, which included pushing players on the head and even headbutting another player. Despite only managing 42 yards on the day, his actions drew attention, albeit for all the wrong reasons. While he wasn’t ejected, he cost his team 15 yards on multiple occasions, leaving fans scratching their heads.

So, what does this mean for the future of Thursday Night Football? Will we continue to see games like this, or will the league take steps to ensure a better product on the field? The answer remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: fans deserve better than what they witnessed in this lackluster matchup.

As the NFL season continues, let’s hope for more thrilling games and fewer 6-3 snoozefests. After all, football is meant to be exciting, and fans are hungry for action!
