A handful of the "name brand" tight ends have had a resurgence in the last few weeks. Both Mark Andrews and Sam LaPorta scored more than 14 points in Week 8, something they had not done in the same week through the first seven games of the season. However, the joy was short-lived, as tight ends came crashing back down to Earth in Week 10.
Who are the best fantasy TEs for Week 10?
The top tier of our tight end rankings will be a bit thin this week with Brock Bowers and David Njoku on bye. Even with a couple of strong producers missing, there are several high-end options for fantasy managers to lean on this week.
One of those elite tight ends is George Kittle. He is the only tight end averaging over 15 points per game, providing a clear positional advantage for managers who roster him. Another highly-ranked tight end is Evan Engram, who comes in as the TE2 this week. With Christian Kirk out for the year, Engram is in line for a high-volume role in Jacksonville. He averaged over 10 targets per game after Kirk went down last year, and he’s capable of doing something similar down the stretch this year.
After being declared a monumental bust through four weeks, Kyle Pitts has done a complete 180 in the last month, pushing himself up to TE4. He’s hit double-digit PPR points in four of his last five games, including a 25-point performance in Week 8. His newfound consistent role in the Atlanta offense and ability to generate big plays make him a top-5 option in Week 10.

Who are the TEs on byes in Week 10?
The bye week is here, and it’s taking some key players out of the lineup.
Cleveland Browns: David Njoku was fantasy’s TE1 down the stretch last year, and he has reclaimed that form following the departure of Amari Cooper and the emergence of Jameis Winston. Fantasy managers will have an elite option at the position as soon as Cleveland returns from their bye.
Las Vegas Raiders: Rookie Brock Bowers has lived up to the hype, already ranking among the league leaders in receptions. With Davante Adams out of the picture, he is the engine of the Las Vegas passing attack and will be a high-end fantasy asset for the rest of the year.
Green Bay Packers: Tucker Kraft emerged as the preferred option in the Green Bay tight end room and has delivered several quality performances with Jordan Love under center. He should certainly remain rostered while the Packers are on their bye.
Seattle Seahawks: Noah Fant has benefited from the fact that Seattle is among the league’s most pass-heavy offenses, sometimes compiling his way to respectable weeks in PPR leagues. However, he’s nothing more than a streaming option and is not worth a roster spot this week.
What are the biggest TE injuries for Week 10?
Injuries can change the landscape of fantasy football in an instant. Dallas Goedert is the only fantasy-relevant tight end currently dealing with an injury. He has now missed three straight games after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 6. Goedert has not yet practiced since the injury, so missing Week 10 is likely. Practice reports from this week should give fantasy managers an idea of his availability.
Unfortunately for the Bengals, tight end Erick All has learned that he’s dealing with a torn ACL and is now out for the rest of the season. That moves Mike Gesicki back into the clear TE1 role for the team. With Tee Higgins doubtful again for Thursday Night Football against the Ravens, look for Gesicki to eat up a lot of those left-behind targets. Gesicki’s best games have come with Higgins off the field.
On the flipside, Isaiah Likely is dealing with a hamstring injury for the Ravens. He hasn’t been ruled out yet, but given the short turnaround with TNF, we’re removing him from the rankings for now. That gives Mark Andrews a bump into the top-10 this week.
Who are the best fantasy TE waiver pickups for Week 10?
As we dive into the waiver wire, Mike Gesicki has effectively functioned as the Bengals’ WR2 without Tee Higgins on the field. He’s been second on the team in targets across the last two games, trailing only Ja’Marr Chase. The team doesn’t even attempt to use him as a tight end – just 11 percent of his routes have come from an inline formation. The Bengals are on a short week and will head to Baltimore to play on Thursday. If Higgins is unable to play, Gesicki will be a starting option.
Week 9 showcased a vintage Taysom Hill performance. He finished with 60 yards from scrimmage while adding four receptions and a score on the ground to bring him to an even 16.0 fantasy points. With Kendre Miller placed on IR and Jamaal Williams potentially missing another game with his groin injury, Hill’s usage could increase, making him a high-upside option at tight end.
Who are the best fantasy TE sleepers for Week 10?
If it weren’t for a careless moment from rookie Malachi Corely, the Jets would have pushed for 30 points on Thursday night. This was the first time in several weeks that this offense has shown signs of life. If the offense is consistently sustaining drives and creating scoring opportunities, Tyler Conklin will have an elevated fantasy outlook. He’s been the TE13 or better in four games this season and accounted for at least 14 percent of the team’s targets in four contests. Against a suspect Arizona defense, the Jets’ offense could keep rolling, and Conklin has proven that he can be a piece of their offensive success.
Looking for a sleeper? It’s never a bad idea to take advantage of the Panthers’ defense. Theo Johnson is a deep sleeper this week, maintaining a steady role in the Giants’ offense and facing off with the Panthers’ defense. Johnson has consistently hovered around a 70 percent route participation and is a prime candidate to win the touchdown lottery against a defense that allows nearly four offensive touchdowns per game. If your roster is desperate for tight end production this week and the waiver wire is thin, Johnson may be your guy.
